Game summary - 'Link, a young man raised as a wrangler in a small, rural village, is ordered by the mayor to attend the Hyrule Summit. He sets off, oblivious to the dark fate that has descended upon the kingdom. When he enters the Twilight Realm that has covered Hyrule, he transforms into a wolf and is captured. A mysterious figure named Midna helps him break free, and with the aid of her magic, they set off to free the land from the shadows. Link must explore the vast land of Hyrule and uncover the mystery behind its plunge into darkness. As he does, he'll have to enlist the aid of friendly folk, solve puzzles and battle his way through dangerous dungeons. In the Twilight Realm, he’ll have to use his wolf abilities and Midna’s magic to bring light to the land. Besides his trusty sword and shield, Link will use his bow and arrows, fight while on horseback and use a wealth of other items, both new and old.' ScreenshotsCan't say the wolf thing sounds a great deal appealing but this looks like it's going to be the best one yet.

I was looking forward to TP about a year ago, I still am doing but not as much.
Being totally honest I don't like the new Link model that much, the way he moves doesn't look natural, just my opinion. It's said to have more temples than OoT which should be interesting, makes you wonder what they have in store.
By the way that box art is nice but I don't know if it's real, if you look there is no age limit stamp on it.

Yeah, I guess the box is just some concept art. I can't say I particularly like the new Link as much as the old. Sure, there are some cool things but in some of the shots he looks too much like a girl.

I actually have to disagree here. The game still looks pretty good, and from the shots I just randomly looked at, Link looks pretty good as well. Hopefully the graphics will allow him some leeway and we can see some real emotion from him. One of these days I hope they make a game that he interacts with the other characters normally instead of us just walking around and listening to what everybody else says. I think the wolf idea is interesting, but I just hope that they don't make the controls too complicated for it.

I've got some friends who say Link looks like a girl...but I think the TP Link looks awesome. The game looks great and wolves are my favorite wild animal so I thought that rocked...though I hope that portion of the game goes over well since controlling Link in an animal form will certainly be...different. I'd like to see some real emotion from Link too though as he is makes Zelda fanfiction easier to write, lol. ^.^

I think the new horseback battle system will be pretty cool. It's one of the game's features that I am looking forward to.

Yeah, you couldn't do that in the previous games, so it adds a new element that should be pretty good.

I was at FYE the other day with some friends when we noticed a game box display for TP. I guess you can start reserving your copies for Fall 2006. Soon, I guess, but I would have assumed (having set back the date release for this game so many times) Nintendo would have wanted this game to come out at Christmas... It would have been good competition for whatever Sony or Microsoft come up with.
As for Link's apperance, well... I think the drawn art is beautiful, but I think something got lost in translation in the rendition of Link's character in the game. Something about the nose really irks me... maybe that's why he looks girly? I think, aside from the 3-D look of the game, the character design is awesome. Sorry to any WW fans, but anything had to be better than that ugly "Herbie" cell-shading look.

I've never been a fan of WW simply because of the cell-shading. The graphics for TP do look pretty spectacular. The game is set to come out the last quarter. This means October, November, or December.

I've been looking forward to TP (I still feel like I'm saying "Toilet Paper" whenever I say that XD) for some time now. I do admit, the nose does make him seem a tad girlish, but hopefully that will become irrelevant over time. I didn't like WW much - again because of the cell shading. I am hoping that it comes out down here in Aus the same time it does in USA. *pouts* I'd hate to sit back here and watch you guys/girls talk about it and leave me sitting here in anticipation.

Heh, we're not all from the United States. I know exactly what you mean with the TP/toilet paper thing. Goes the same for me. I'm sticking with my original statement of 'this looks like it's going to be the best one yet.'

Unless, of course, we are not on the world. Good point, the moon will probably get it a few months later but it's good news for the majority of us using this site.
