What type of Instant Messanger does everybody use.
I prefer Google Talk since I'm on a Gmail account. I'm not sure if it's able to communicate with any others (I'm sure it is, but I haven't figured out how), but otherwise it's pretty awesome. It's also convenient because it tells me when I have new stuff in my inbox.

I have AIM and Yahoo, but I am on AIM most of the time since it's a little more convenient.

I have a Yahoo account, but I use it for very specific stuff and don't share it with anybody, just like my Gmail is mainly for Fanfiction and anything else I don't want traced directly backed to me, although I do give it out to some people because of Google Talk. I also have an Insight account, but it doesn't have Instant Messaging, and I use that for most of my business and shopping accounts and everything else that I'm not overly cautious about.

I have...MSN/Windows Live Plus, Yahoo, AIM and Trillian. I use MSN the most though since a lot of people I know have it. Yahoo is my second to talk to certain people, AIM for rare occasions.

I use AIM for the most part and I have access to Yahoo IM but I don't use it much and when I do use it, it is usually when I can't get on my AIM account for whatever reason. But I love AIM lots. I just don't like AOL though that's how AIM came to be on my computer way back when. ^.^

Good night, Kaz, why so many!?
I don't really like using IM's that much, especially since I can pick up the phone and just talk to that person.

I'm not fond of talking on the phone. o.O; Though sometimes it's nice. ..I just feel much more versatile when online because then you can talk to people and also do the other stuff ya wanna do. At least, in some cases because if I'm on the phone that's usually all I'm able to do at the moment so I love IMs, lol.

I can understand if you're talking with several people at once, but I find it easier to just say what I want to say rather than try and type everything. That's a blessing and a curse, though, because once I've said something stupid it's impossible to take it back whereas with writing I can evalute what I'm saying before I post it. (although even that doesn't help me at time ) I only like talking to friends on the phone, though. If it's business or something like that, I'd rather either skip it altogether or get somebody else to do it for me.

Well, I obviously have the same IMing capabilities as blondie, and I think I like IMing quite a bit better than talking on the phone for basically the same reasons as her.

Quick question, though slightly off topic, is AOL email free or do you still have to pay for it. I think at one point you had to pay for email services, but the first free email service that I saw was Gmail. Since then I've seen Yahoo and, I think, Hotmail become free (though I don't think Hotmail's that hot last time I checked, pun intended)

If you get an (free) AIM account then a free e-mail thing comes as part of it, so for AOL I'd say yes.

Maybe I'll try that then. I don't know, though; I have enough email accounts as it is.
