I actually think Digimon was better than Pokemon... they actually talked instead of saying their names over and over. That got annoying really fast.

Mhm I prefer Digimon to Pokemon, however, I don't like either much these days. The earlier episodes were so much better

I watched Pokemon when I was younger, but I always thought Digimon was a bit of a ripoff, so I never gave it a try. I guess maybe I should have been a little more open to it. I don't watch either of the two now.
I do like Inuyasha, though I haven't kept up with it very well. I've just started developing an interest in Full Metal Alchemist, and I'd really like to see an episode of Fruits Basket.
(In all honesty, though, I tend to prefer manga to anime. Maybe I should post a new thread...?)

I did think Digimon was a big rip off of Pokemon at first, I was actually a little mad when I heard Digimon was starting. Then I watched it and loved it.
I've seen a few Inuyasha episodes but can't seem to get into it.

Inu-yasha can be a bit tedious. I prefer Ranma 1/2. I tend to prefer Japanese comedy than drama.
If there's one anime that I really can't stand, it's Lupin the III. Anybody here seen it?

I've seen previews for it, but I never could stand it long enough to watch a whole episode. It looks really stupid.

What's that? Lupin the III? If so, I completely understand your aversion to it.

Never heard of that one.
I just started getting into Manga. I read this one a few days ago called "The Dreaming" it was very good and I'm mad, because I'll have to wait until November to get my hands on Part 2.

I tend to like the manga of a certain series better than the anime. DBZ for example was totally butchered by FUNimation in the English dub, was okay in Japanese, but was truly at its best in comic form.
The manga I've most recently started (since I just finished reading DBZ) is Death Note, which is seriously morbid but also interesting. Buying manga/anime is an expensive habit, though, so I don't get to read/watch as often as I'd like.

Same here it does get expensive. I've heard of Death Note, but I've never read it.

It's okay. You need to be able to handle dark stuff to enjoy it. The lead character is a high school student at the top of his class who stumbles into this "death note," which allows the writer to kill any person he desires and in whatever fashion he desires. The book deals with issues of man versus god, which is why I found it interesting, but it gets depressing if you read it for too long. You might even get a bit paranoid...

Sounds like something I would be interested in.

I started picking up Naruto manga. I've been watching the anime, too, but the manga is much better in my opinion. I finished collecting the DBZ ones, so I needed to move onto something else.

I've been trying to catch Naruto on TV, but every time it comes on, something comes up so I can't watch it. I've never seen it before, but I've heard it's pretty good (mostly the Manga anyways)

The voice acting on the anime for Naruto can be annoying at times, but otherwise it's not to bad. The manga's pretty good, but I only have the first two. I have to buy them slowly or else they'll eat up all my money.
