Pretty straight forward question. How did you discover fanfiction.net? What made you interested in the site? Why did you join? I found it through bored.com. It sounded pretty cool to me so I checked it out. After reading some LoZ stories I realized I could probably put one of my own up. Of course, this was way back when ff.net had the announcment that fictionpress was going to be used for purely original works. I took a look at fictionpress. I've always enjoyed writing and was already working on a story when I first found the sites. Of course, this was years ago and I was pretty bad. My first story was pretty bad. I took it off and began work on my second story, which is the one I'm currently working on at fictionpress. Then I came back to fanfiction, after planning for my Zelda story. I posted it up about a year ago. The thing that really drew me in was because I really enjoy writing. I've been writing things for at least ten years. I've wanted to pursue a career as an author for probably around five or so years. In fact, I'm going to university and shooting for that. I take ff.net and fictionpress as stepping stones to help me along the way. They've been a great help in my writing, both through helping me develope my skills and by allowing me to read what other great authors have written. Wow, that was a long post.

Eh...as much as I loved The Legend of Zelda, I always thought it would be weird for me to write something based off of Zelda at first...and so I wrote an original story instead( thirteen chapters of total weirdness!) when I was 11...I guess in someway or another me and Jupiter thought it would be fun to write a Kingdom Hearts and Legend of Zelda crossover fic since she knew so much about KH and I knew enough about LoZ...and I think that was my first intro into the fan-fiction world which stemmed into about 25 different stories that totally stunk (Marshmallow was in on this too), but I stillhave saved in my computer. From there she was the one to introduce me to ffnet and then I reviewed a lot of people's stuff as the anonymous 'blondie91'...and eventually I found my place actually writing stories for that site once I gave in and got an account.

I was on some fansite talking about fanfiction.net and I was curious so I began to read fics and such on there and about a year and a half later, I decided to create an account. I only reviewed and didn't actually write anything until 6 months later though.

It was Jupiter and blondie that got me hooked. My first 2 fics that are actually still there were posted on blondie's account though, since that was when I was an anonymous reviewer. I originally started reviewing as Fluffy Puff (based on the marshmallow brand on homestarrunner.com) and eventually that changed to da marshmallow. It was much harder keeping up with fics without a favorites list though. heh. Glad I got an account, finally.

Since I had been watching Rurouni Kenshin before I went to college, I wanted to see what I could find on the Sakabatou (it's known as the Reverse Blade Sword) while I was at college. I had a job in the school's computer lab and I typed the word into Google while I was working. It brought up a hit for a short one-shot by the same name. That's how I first discovered Fanfiction.net. I read the story, found it to be interesting, but didn't think that much of the site at that point. After reading the Megaman Timeline by Jetmode on her site, I found out how cool it was to read fanfic so I searched out Fanfiction again. I got hooked on a couple of DBZ stories, but eventually I started to branch out to different things in time. I got an account right away since it was free, but I didn't start posting my story until a couple months later. That's about it.

A friend recommended it to me. We were both in eighth grade, and she had just moved from California. We ended up becoming best friends (mejores amigas to this day!), and so we ended up sharing hobbies, interests, etc. You know the "friend making" drill. I wasn't too computer savvy at the time, but she got me into the scene.

I found it by accident It was about five years ago, when I wasn't too into writing. I was searching for some Harry Potter stuff and stumbelled upon it. I read some of the stuff there and didn't think much of it (remember, I was like 11). Then, a few years later I got into Digimon and I went searching for some fics to read. I found ff.net pretty much as soon as I did the Google search. I read for a while, before finally deciding to create my own account. By then I was 13, so my writing skills were constantly being improved in my english class. Sadly, my first account did not go well. I was writing Digimon quite happily until someone (I have a few choice words for them but I won't say them im accordance to the rules) started abusing me. I made the mistake of letting my email show on my profile page and so started to get emails from them that weren't very nice. In a last-ditch effort to get away, I posted up some notes at the end of my stories telling people that, because of this person, I would be abandoning that account and the stories would remain unfinished. I took all the stories down about a month later, and steered clear for a while. When I was nearing my 15th birthday, I found the site again. I was searching for some Zelda stuff by then, having just beaten OoT. I decided to take a chance and created a new email account and created my account entitled Hope's Light , which was later changed to Hopeless Maiden. I've since found my niche in my story "Lost in Time, Identity and Destiny", which is nearing the update of it's 42nd chapter. Somewhere along the line, I grew bored with Zelda, and created a new account. I started writing stories for an anime called Card Captor Sakura under the name Sparkly Faerie. I did quite well for myself under that name, and I think that was the one that established me as a writer on that site (although not many people know that I have two accounts). I still update both accounts, but not as often as I used to. School is piling the work on towards the middle of the year and I'm having trouble keeping up. That said, Saturdays (today, basically) is the day that I write on. Hopefully, I'll be updating LiTiaD in the next few weeks ;D
