I don't know how many people outside of me, Tiki, and Nova have played "The Adventure of Link" on NES, but I have to say that it is easily the most difficult Zelda game that I've ever encountered. And so, the question begs to be asked, which was the hardest temple in "The Adventure of Link?" I remember struggling for hours trying to beat the last two temples of the game. I think one was the Three-Eyed Palace and the other was the Great Palace. (I'll have to check my strategy guides, lol. Without those, I'd never have gotten past the first temple... )

It's because we're so old. Anyway, back on topic. I remember playing for hours trying to get through the Great Palace. That place was huge!! I actually found the Three-Eye Rock Palace to be easy. I remember beating it and thinking, 'That's it?' Heh. So, the Great Palace the hardest for me. Great topic by the way. ;D

Trust me, Kaz, without the walkthrough, I'd have been exactly in the same position as you. I started the game without my beloved strategy book and found myself dying at every turn. Where in good Hyrule were you supposed to go anyway? There wasn't a map, there wasn't any tutorial... just some princess sleeping in a coffin thing. For a long time I was perfectly content to let her lie in her coma for all eternity.
EASY!?! Tiki, you must be a crazy good gamer, because my friend Adam told me exactly the same thing. He always thought the Three-Eyed Palace was simple, when it took me hours to beat. Then again, he is the "ultimate gamer" in his own words, so he didn't struggle with the Great Palace nearly as long as I did.

Heh, I guess I am pretty game savvy. I was a little confused when I first started the game up. I just ran around killing the random slimes and whatnot in the fields and running to the towns. Took me awhile to find the first temple but after I beat it I really got into the game. I loved the original Ironknuckles. They were cool.

The only temple I remember going absolutely insane with is the third temple. I hated the boss at the end (the riding ironknuckle). I avoided that boss for the longest time until my stats were pretty much maxed out. Even then I had trouble with it. I can go back now, though, and beat any Ironknuckle easily. It's all about figuring out what technique works against them (the ol' jump, duck, and slash works best for me).

Yeah, I always had trouble the first time I battled the bosses. Then I would figure out the right technique.

For me, it was nearly all magic on at one time, Walkthrough sitting next to my side the entire time, and a whole lot of luck... lol.

I really hated have to use almost all of my magic against the Thunderbird. That thing probably gave me the most trouble out of the whole game.

I only hated it because then I would have no magic for the next fight. I'd have to die to replenish my magic, and if I was already on the last life then I'd have to renavigate through the whole stupid temple (fortunately, I didn't have to beat Thunderbird again). Dark Link was really hard, much harder than in OoT in my opinion.

I'd have to agree with that. In fact, Dark Link was harder than Ganon from the first game. Hey, they should make Dark Link the last boss in the new games and make Ganon a Thunderbird type boss. Heh. That would be something. FYI: He's name from AoL is really Shadow Link.

Dark Link, Shadow Link, same difference. They're both shady type of characters.
