I think it's a game that's on par with Zelda, and I think it can generate a lot of discussion. Give me your opinions about it. Favorite character? Favorite scenario? Tell me what you think.

The only Fire Emblem game I've played is the one for Gamecube and since I just recently got it, I'm not far enough into it to really have a favorite anything...lol. Titania is cool though and so is Ike...

I don't know that much about the GameCube one. I have the one for GBA, though, and it's a blast. It took me a while to beat it, and there are two different story lines to it once you reach a certain point.

Oh, that sounds cool. Well, the GC one is pretty fun. I got a Game Over today since Ike got killed....lol. Oh well, I'll just try again some other time.

The most frustrating part about that system is the battle goes so well to start out, and then one stupid move makes you lose a character and you can't get them back. I'm one who does NOT want to lose anybody under ANY circumstances, so that means I have to redo the entire battle unless I made the confrontation (in which case I just reset to the last turn). Oh well, it's a learning experience.

My sister has the Game Cube version of Fire Emblem. I don't know if she ever actually beat the game, but I remember walking into the kitchen (next to our family room where the TV and game system were), glance into the family room and see her playing, then leave, return five hours later, and find her in the same exact spot she was in before, still playing away. Those battle scenes reminded me a lot of the board game Strategy. It looked like a fun game, but it wouldn't be something I'd want to get involved in... I'd never stop playing until I beat it, and I don't have time to get hooked on any games just now...

The battle system makes me feel like a commander in the army or something because you control all your units...and it definitely reminds me of a board game format though I've never played strategy. I just love it because it's actually a fun style that's different from what I'm used to.

Ugh... after reading your post, I really want to play it now, blondie... if only I weren't so busy. The most game experience I've had with Fire Emblem is through Super Smash Bros. I used to think Marth and Roy were so cool, so I would play them all the time. From what I've learned, though, they actually aren't the main characters of the Fire Emblem series; there's are lots of characters from what my sister's told me.

I finally beat this chapter I was stuck on. Ike should learn that it's not ok to die and then I wouldn't get a game over...lol. I lost Rhys but he was just extra luggage...and then this wind mage person I have, Soren, died when I was playin' it today...yet somehow he's still alive so the game has officially confused me. o.O

I've been playing the other Fire Emblem game for the GBA. I don't think it was ever released in the US, but I got it for an emulator. The Sacred Stones, I think, is better, but this one is pretty fun, too. I think I'm almost done with it.
