I've never played Double Dash. But Yoshi definitely is a loner.

We'd have family Mario Party tournaments in addition to our MK64 games. (I always won the party games too. I was sooo special. : Yoshi was always my character of choice. Maybe the fact that he's a loner makes him lucky. Not to mention he always says the most intelligent things in all the Mario games (aside from Peach, of course... )

I used to always play as Yoshi in all the Mario games I could but these days I go for Mario, I have no idea why.

I tried steering away from Yoshi and attempted playing Peach for a while, but that got annoying REALLY fast. She's not as cute as she makes herself out to be after the... oh, probably second game you play her. My sister's a huge Luigi fan, and she plays him constantly. Or else she plays Toad. If I can't play Yoshi, then I'll play either Mario or Bowser. I like Bowser simply because he's... well, evil.

Which means you're evil. I liked using Toad in Super Mario Brothers 2, which was a weird game by the way. They didn't have Yoshi back then or I would have picked him.

I would play as Peach in SMB2, I loved her floating ability, helped me out of a few scrapes. She was a bit slow in the digging levels though so I would switch to Mario or Toad for those.

Yeah, the floating ability helped a lot. I aslo enjoyed using Luigi's high jump in tight spots. Heh, I kinda want to play the game now.

I find it very easy these days, I played it on the SNES as a kid and it took me a while to beat. I bought it then for the GBA but it only took me a day to finish.

Yes, I know what you mean. The first time I played the original Super Mario Brothers it took me forever to beat. Now I beat it through many many times, get bored, and do something else.

It's been so long since I played the original Super Mario Bros. I'm feeling inspired to play it again. I think one of my favorite old Mario games was the one with the different world maps, it was for the SNES, and the toad shops. (I'm guessing Super Mario Bros. 3?) I also love Yoshi's Island. After A Link to the Past, that may be my favorite SNES game ever.

You're correct with the world maps and Toad shops but Super Mario Brothers 3 was for NES. Probably my absolute favourite.

It was Super Mario Bros. 3 (I looked it up now), but I think it was converted to the SNES for the Super Mario Bros. All Star pack. Definitely an amazing game.

Yeah I had the converted one for the SNES, I liked it more because you could save at the end of worlds. I loved Yoshi's Island and Mario World on the SNES. Yoshi's Island had some beautiful background scenery.

The scenery was beautiful in Yoshi's Island. I always loved the visuals in that game. The colors always fascinated me when I was younger, and I can still appreciate the game designer's palette to this day. Not to mention Yoshi's Island had amazing gameplay. Seriously, who wouldn't love a dinosaur who hovered in the air and digested his enemies into spotted eggs?

Has anyone tried the new Super Mario Bros for the DS? It's pretty good but a little easy or it could be I'm just used to the game stlye by now.
