I haven't seen "Aladdin" in such a long time, but I loved it when I last saw it. I also like "Beauty and the Beast" and "Mulan." Those were my favorite Disney films when I was growing up. Has anybody noticed that Disney movies have gotten a little weirder since the late nineties, though? I just don't see them having the same quality as before...

Yeah, I agree with you. They aren't popping out the classics like they used to. *sigh* Oh well... I've seen Aladdin pretty recently, and I've seen it twice in Spanish. Never could understand why they make us watch movies in Spanish when we can't understand everything the characters say. I suppose that's life though... I also loved Hercules, even though I haven't seen that one in a long time. Mulan was pretty good, and Beauty and the Beast was too. When I was about 5 or so, we'd always go rent videos and every time me and blondie would want to get Bambi. No idea why, really. The first time I saw that movie it made me cry.

Bambi is the greatest movie ever produced. Period. And then Disney had to ruin it all with thier stupid sequel obsession. I still refuse to acknowledge the fact that they made a Bambi II.

I think some of their sequels are weird and then some of their sequels are okay...like Lion King II...definately not my favorite movie of all time. Although, I did like Lion King 1 1/2 That movie is so hillarious; even though to me it sounded like Simba and Nala had a bit of a lisp goin' on. I'm not the biggest Bambi fan ever anymore, but I don't think I'll ever watch Bambi II unless someone ties me to a chair and duck tapes me eyes open...heh. I agree with you that they seem obsessed with making sequels.

I haven't watched a lot of the classics since I was a kid. I do still like a lot of the songs from them, though. I seen a lot of the Disney/Pixar movies like "Cars" and such, and they haven't been too bad.

I agree with that. Most of the Disney/Pixar movies have been pretty good.

I meant to see "Cars," but I never got around to it. Was it good? One of my friends who saw it said they thought it was cute, pretty funny. Pixar produces so many great movies. "Monsters Inc." has to be my favorite out of them all. They also make terrific shorts. Hooray for John Lasseter!

I've never seen Cars either...we were going to, and then stuff came up. I LOVE Monsters Inc! One of the lines from that movie that is engraved in my brain is..."I'm watching you Wizousky...ALWAYS watching..." I don't know how to spell "Wizousky" so I hope I got it close enough...lol

Cars was pretty cute and interesting; definitely a good family film. I've seen Monster's Inc and Ice age a few times and I liked those, as well. The only one that I thought was really, really weird and that I wouldn't recommend is Monster House. I saw that about a week ago, and it was one of those movies that I just raised my eyebrow at. I personally don't think it was worth the six bucks, but that's my opinion. There are two movies, though, that I definitely will never see again and those are "Bruce Almighty" with Jim Carrey and "Date Movie". I usually love Jim Carrey movies, but Bruce Almighty was outright blasphemy, and Date Movie just made me cringe from beginning to end. Because of the prices, I don't think I'd ever walk out of a movie, but at least I know what not to see again. Okay, I'm done ranting.

Not a Jim Carey fan, I'm afraid. Ice Age was all right... Once I move out of the Pixar realm, I start getting wary of those 3-D animation films. A lot of them are Pixar posers, if you ask me. Take Dreamworks for example. First, Pixar came up with Finding Nemo, hardly a year later Dreamworks came up with Shark's Tale. Pixar came up with Bug's Life, Dreamworks came up with Antz. The only move I've ever really enjoyed by Dreamworks is Shrek, and by the sequel that was wearing thin too.
What I was wondering (and I don't know if this has been mentioned previously in the forum yet) is if anybody has seen the sequel to Pirates of the Caribbean yet?

Yeah, that was mentioned before but we can talk about it again. I saw it. Persoanlly I thought it had much more plot than the first one. I wouldn't call it a better film but I rather enjoyed it. And it really left room for the third one (which is supposed to be out next summer).

I really got into PotC 2, and it seemed to be over just as it started. It would go from one thing to the next so smoothly you were waiting for it to climax, and it did right at the end. I'm definitely looking forward to the next one.

Monster House was interesting...or as my mom and aunt put it, 'cute'. I went to see that with 'em this past weekend and that one looked the best out of what we could see with havin' to tote my youngest sister along. I loved it when the kid yells at the house that that's not fair...but I enjoyed it enough...I guess. I would have rather seen The Descent or Lady in the Water but whatever.
Date Movie is an extremely weird movie and I've never seen Bruce Almighty. ...And PotC is awesome! ^.^
When a Stranger Calls was pretty good though it seemed to mostly be stuff leading up and up until the end when TONS of the good stuff happens. I had a nightmare the next night from it...I refused to stay anywhere inside my house unless there was someone close by, lol.
